THE ENTRYWAY
As part of this decorating project, I focused on transforming my client’s entryway into a space that felt both functional and personal. The original setup wasn’t working for his needs, especially with accessibility in mind. I sourced a comfortable bench to make putting on shoes easier, added a full-length mirror for those quick last glances before heading out, and rearranged some of his existing art to create a more welcoming and cohesive look.
To top it off, we painted the front door a rich cobalt blue—his favourite colour—which added a bold, joyful touch right at the entrance. It’s a small space with a big first impression, now tailored to his style and daily routine.
THE SMYTH RESIDENCE

For this interior decorating project, I worked with a client who wanted his space to better reflect his personality and support his lifestyle. The original layout wasn’t functional—there were accessibility challenges, limited seating for hosting, and the overall flow felt disorganized. As an older adult, he needed a layout that was easy to move through and more comfortable for day-to-day living.
We reimagined the space to improve flow, increase seating, and make better use of every corner. Most importantly, we brought in pieces that reflected his bold, eclectic style—mixing color, texture, and character to make the room feel truly his. The result is a space that’s not only more functional, but also full of personality and warmth.

THE GUEST ROOM
This guest room had great potential but was tricky to work with—it was small, oddly shaped, and featured a curved wall that made the layout challenging. The oversized bed overwhelmed the space and made it feel cramped and underutilized.
To open things up, I replaced the bulky bed with a sleek pull-out sofa bed, creating a flexible layout that’s both functional and comfortable. With the extra space, I brought in subtle, playful colours and cozy touches to make the room feel warm, welcoming, and just a little unexpected. Now it’s a space that works beautifully for guests and everyday use.
